Attend

Frontline Yoga classes are FREE to all Frontline Professionals.

Current and ex-servicing Police, Fire, Ambulance, Military, Healthcare workers, Lifesavers, RFS, SES and Volunteer Paramedics. Frontline Professionals can also bring one support person or family member at no cost.

Additional supporters and public are also welcome by donation.

Frontline Yoga delivers accessible classes that are taught with an awareness of trauma and are suitable for anyone with chronic stress, depression, anxiety or PTSD.

The classes focus on developing Resilience, Strength and Connection.

  • Resilience - both emotional and psychological to deal with the ongoing challenges and uncertainly of service on the front line.
  • Strength – developing both physical and mental strength, to continue facing the rigours of service on the front line or return to full function after injury or illness.
  • Connection – reinforcing connection between breath and movement, body and mind, Frontline Professional and the community within which they serve.

Classes are suitable for all ages and ability levels.

Our teachers are experienced in providing accessible yoga that is perfect for beginners. You can participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable.

Please be sure to check out our attend tab on our Frontline Yoga site to find the class closest to you. You can also stay up to date on our activities through our social media.

Head to the attend page on our website and book in for your class. You can create an account to make booking in easier the next time if you like.  If it’s your first Frontline Yoga class please complete the health form, also found on this page, and turn up around 10-15 minutes early to meet the teacher and get settled.

Your teacher may ask about any health concerns and get you to complete a health form.

Feel free to come pre-prepared with a health form, this contains important info and is a requirement to attend. Your teacher will also have copies of the health form.

All personal information that is given to your teacher is kept strictly confidential.

Wear something comfortable that allows you to move. A t-shirt and shorts or similar is all you need.

Frontline teachers will endeavour to provide mats, but you might like to take your own if you have one. If in doubt, check with the local teacher.

We encourage teachers to attend our 6 hour introduction to teaching trauma aware yoga if  you do not have any trauma aware yoga qualifications. The course costs $165.00 and can be used for CEC's with Yoga Australia.  You can find out more about our workshops on the Train page on our website.  If there is not a course listed near you, please email our commercial operations manager to see if there is one in the planning.

If you’re ready to start right away, then get in touch!

We have A4 and A3 posters available for you to print. You can find these under our resources page. Just add the details for your class at the bottom.

Frontline Yoga depends on donations to keep going. If students that are not Frontline Staff want to attend your class, they can do so for a donation. There is a link to the QR code for donations on the posters available in our resources section.

Yes, Frontline Yoga has a 6 hour introduction to teaching trauma aware yoga, that is designed to prepare qualified Yoga teachers to hold their own classes. Head to the train page on our website for more information.

Upcoming courses are posted our website and you can also follow Events on our Facebook page. We also promote them on our social media.
